Bee: Drone of a Different Colour. Mixed Media, Regina Sk 2016. Collaborative work with John Campbell Gluey Group
Bee: Drone of a Different Colour is a multi-media installation of a giant pneumatic-powered flower choreographed to open and release a bee/drone to fly around the gallery visiting the other artworks on display and piles of spent bullet casings (an homage to the work of Wolfgagn Laib, Ohne Zeit – ohne Ort – ohne Körper. The flower then closes after the bee/drone has landed back inside. The bee/drone will target and surveil the artworks much like a military drone surveils military points of interest before attacks. This installation aims to investigate our current headspace as a society concerning our fears and excitement about the future of our natural and technological world.
