Spaceball. Mixed Media, Public Installation, Regina Sk 2012.
Daily Press: Headline News! Over 35 years after the launch of the Voyager spacecraft, a response has finally returned from the depths of space:
we are not alone. Unable to decode the messages, scientists have turned to the public for help. Come investigate and experience the mystery of the Spaceball.
Spaceball (2013) – with this project created a faux asteroid that “landed” in a public space and could "communicate" through audio tracks with a viewer
depending upon the viewers’ position and proximity to the artwork. To complete this project I used an Arduino microcontroller and 6 different ultrasonic sensor
inputs to trigger sounds appropriated from Jet Propulsion Lab's Voyager space probe, which is currently at the edge of our heliosphere.
