Shy Flower. Mixed Media, Fifth Parallel Gallery, Regina Sk 2015. Collaborative work with John Campbell Gluey Group
The Shy Flower is one of the sculptural components of Excitable Sculptures: A Space in Between, an installation of a collection of interconnected interactive kinetic sculptures that "get excited" to see the viewer based upon sensor input from the surrounding gallery environment. The Shy Flower reacts to a viewer's presence or loud noises by closing to protect itself. When the viewer moves away and is quiet, the Shy Flower slowly opens again to reveal its inner "heart."
